Clara M. Fenstermaker, 85, of Allentown, died Wednesday, April 19, in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. She was the wife of Vernon C. Fenstermaker for 63 years in March. Born in Weisenberg Twp., she was a daughter of the late Milton and Maggie (Fichter) Herber.
She was a 1940 graduate of Kutztown University with a degree in elementary education. She taught in the one-room Bucks School in Weisenberg from 1940 to 1942. She was the owner of Tel-A-Talk, an answering service in Allentown, from 1967 to 1980. She then sold antiques in Leesport for many years. She was a member of Ziegels United Church of Christ, Breinigsville.
Survivors: Husband; daughter, Joanne, wife of Detlef Gerlach of York; son, Dale, and wife Gail of Coopersburg; brother, Warren Herber and wife Mae of Allentown; grandchildren, Adam, Christopher, Alec, Lauren; nieces, nephews.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, April 22, Ziegels United Church of Christ, 9990 Ziegels Church Rd., Breinigsville. Call 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday in the church. Interment, church cemetery. Arrangements, Keller Funeral Homes Inc., Fogelsville. Contributions: May be made to Ziegels U.C.C. Memorial Fund, c/o the funeral home, P.O. Box 52, Fogelsville, PA 18051.
