Harriette enjoyed socializing at the Hot Fish Shop as a cashier. She also loved managing the Kwik Trip on Broadway and Mankato Avenue for many years. After leaving Kwik Trip, she worked for the Winona State University food service. She was a great baker and loved sharing her baked goods with her neighbors at Pleasant Green. Harriette also loved to cook for her family and friends and would often host a "Monday night" weekly gathering. Family was very important to her. She liked nothing more than to have her entire family at her house, especially to make them their birthday dinner. Christmas Eve at Harriette's house was a must! She loved the laughter, teasing, and fun that followed! Harriette had a passion for playing cards and games and would often get teased about making up her own rules. One of her most recent favorite pastimes was taking frequent trips with her brother-in-law, Herbie, to the casinos. They would take as many different roads as they could find, always looking for a new adventure.
