Her death occurred at Aurora, Nebraska on July 4, 1978, following a lingering illness of several months. She was 81 years, 8 months and 3 days of age.

She had spent her entire lifetime in Hamilton County.

On October 9, 1915 she was united in marriage to J. Wrex Henthorn at Aurora. They farmed northwest of Aurora for several years, until 1947 when they moved into Aurora. Her husband preceded her in death on May 28, 1977.

Mrs. Henthorn was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Aurora.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, J. William Bigger and Eber Bigger and one sister, Mrs. Mable Obermeier.

Her survivors include her two children, Wrex Henthorn, Jr. of Aurora and Mrs. Dorothy Baker of Pueblo, Colorado; one brother, Gordon Bigger of Aurora; three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Wilson of Aurora, Mrs. Laura Stokesbary of Westminster, California and Mrs. Mary Connell of Central City; 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and close friends.
