Jane A. Bedell, 77, of Stony Lake, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2007 at her home following a long illness. She was born March 31, 1930 in Perryton, Texas to Hob Henry and Vivian (Ellis) Henry. She married James D. Bedell Sept. 11, 1950. Mrs. Bedell lived in Texas until the age of 10 when she moved to Terre Haute, Ind. She lived there until moving to Monticello, Ind. and later to Valparaiso for many years. She received her masters of the arts from Valparaiso University. Mrs. Bedell taught fourth grade at George Meyer Elementary in Portage for 25 years. She is survived by her husband, James; her children, Cindy (Richard) Blanton of West Lafayette, Ind., Lisa (Joe) Frankus of Valparaiso, and Ben (Tammy) Bedell of Jeffersonville, Ind.; grandchildren, Sam (Beth) Laugheed of Boise, Idaho, Zachary (Jenny) Laugheed of Boulder, Colo. and Calli Frankus of Valparaiso; great-granddaughter, Annie Laugheed of Boise; her sister, Helen (Patrick) Tully of Florida; brother-in-law, Jack Bedell of Bloomfield Hills, Mich. and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ron and Judy Maxwell of Terre Haute. *Evergreen Cemetery
