Funeral services for Crayton Monroe Henry, 91, Rt. 3, Box 283, will be Monday August 9, 4:00 p.m. at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Chapel. R. B. Shiflet will officiate. Interment will be in Sturdivant Cemetery. Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner is in charge of arrangements.
Henry died Sunday August 8, 7:30 a.m. in a local hospital. He was born March 26, 1885, in Mammoth Springs, Ark. Mary Roberts Head and he were married May 17, 1906 in Fulton Co., Arkansas. She preceded him in death in 1971, and his daughter Carmen Harvey preceded him in death also in 1971. He was a farmer and worked in construction, and was a member of the Christian Church.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Jackson, Billy Rogers, Eddie Barrett, Ralph Boyd, Don Chandler, Wayne Spradley, Ray Pilkington, Martin Robert Brown, Gillis Brown, David Royalty.
Survivors include four sons: N. A. Henry, Frankston, F. B. Henry, Mineral Wells, John R. Henry, Brazoria, Lawrence E. Henry, Mineral Wells; four daughters: Daisy Brown, Cool, Mrs. Dorothy McGrew, Mineral Wells, Mrs. Jean Southern, Mineral Wells, Drew Poyner, Oklahoma City, Okla.; 28 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. - obituary
