Kenneth "Kenny" Hennington II was born on June 5, 1969 in Lynwood, Cal. to the union of Kenneth Hennington Sr. and Juanise Hennington.

Kenny spent most of his childhood back and forth between Texas and California. He spent all of his childhood summers in Texas with his paternal grandmother LeeEtta Hennington and his uncle Lewis Hennington.

In 1987 he graduated from Pflugerville High School in Pflugerville. While there, he competed in many weightlifting competitions. He attended Santa Barbara City College from 1988-1989.

In 1994 he married Jennifer Rinkenberger. From their union, they had two children, a daughter Sasche and son Broderick.

He worked in the restaurant industry for many years in all positions ranging from server, to trainer, to bartender, to manager. Kenny moved back to Texas in June of 2010 and ended up living out his dream of becoming a restaurant owner. He and his best friend from childhood Chris Perry hooked up and they took over ownership of Howdy's in Hutto.

He died on Aug. 10, 2011.

He leaves behind his children, Sasche and Broderick, his mother Juanise Johnson, father Ken Hennington, step-father Joe Johnson; sisters, Raven Hennington-Billberry and Marche' Hennington, brother Trevor Hennington, step-brother Jo-Jo Johnson; grandparents Juanas and Gwendolyn Moten, Aunts Karen, Eileen, and Victoria; Uncles Lewis and Juanas. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews: Kenya, Jovan, Joelle, and Jordan, many cousins and other relatives. He also leaves behind a host of friends whom he loved dearly.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 19 at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home in Elgin with Rev. Leonard Winn officiating.
