The Hennington-Flowers Cemetery is located on Didlake Rd., and very close to the old homestead area of John's brother Rev. Henry Hennington, along a grass path that runs off Didlake.
John's homestead was past Henry's place and further down the same road, and near the Joshua Hennington Cemetery. The first known burial there, was for John's son Joshua Stephen Hennington, his death June 4, 1900, so yes John was likely buried at his place.
It has also been noted, that some of the descendants of Henry are buried in the Hennington-Flowers Cemetery - while the few known burials in the Joshua Hennington Cemetery, were descendants of Rev. John's.
John was the son of Ann Howell. (Speculation continues, if this was her maiden name, or if she had remarried).
John was a brother to Rev. Henry Hyram Hennington and Rev. William Hennington. The latter has been confirmed through DNA testing. Speculation that Thomas Ephrain Hennington was also a brother, has been proven from DNA testing to be incorrect.
