Funeral services were this afternoon for Linnie N. Goddard of the Blanco community, who died Saturday in the Twin Cities Nursing Home in Hartshorne. Rev. Alvin Nixon conducted the memorial at 4 p.m., at the Blanco Baptist Church, where Mrs. Goddard was a member. Interment was in the Blanco Cemetery under the direction of Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne. Pallbearers were Royce Smith, Durwood Scott, J. E. Scott, Plunkett Schiller, Albert Ray and Arney Hall. Mrs. Goddard was born January 24, 1898 in Ardmore, Indian Territory and had lived in the Blanco area since the age of 16. She and Frank Goddard were married March 30, 1918 in McAlester. He died on March 29, 1971, and a son, David Goddard, in June, 1924. Survivors include five sons, Josh Goddard, Carl Goddard and Raymond Goddard, all of the Blanco Community, and Ray Goddard and Walter Goddard, both of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Bertie Lee Sheppard of Indianola, and Gladys Mote of Pittsburg; 25 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Others are one brother, Jewel Hennington in California and two sisters, Belma Simmons and Irene Cagle, both of Oklahoma City.
