Lorraine Lucille Hagedorn, 82, of Eau Claire, died Saturday, July 31, 2010, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Eau Claire on March 23, 1928, daughter of Gustav and Lucille (Gonitzke) Hennig. Lorraine was baptized on April 15, 1928, and confirmed on June 14, 1942, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Town of Clear Creek.
She married Donald Harvey Hagedorn on June 18, 1950, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Lorraine worked as a surgical nurse for Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. After her retirement she was active in the Luther Hospital Nurses Alumni Association for many years.
She was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church where she actively participated in the Ladies Auxiliary, the Altar Guild, choir, and Wednesday morning bible study. She loved sports and music, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Lorraine is survived by two daughters, Lynn (Paul) Seipel and Julie (Jeff) Anderson of Eau Claire; three sons, Bill (Kay) Hagedorn, Bob (Jody) Hagedorn, both of Eau Claire, and Donald Jr. (Diane) Hagedorn of Wausau; grandchildren, Jennifer (Dustin Peterson, fiance) Seipel, Erich Seipel, Maggie and Molly Anderson, Rachel and Elizabeth Hagedorn, Nathaniel (Jessica) Hagedorn, all of Eau Claire, Jordan Hagedorn of Wausau, Mitchell Hagedorn of New York, Donald III and Danielle Hagedorn, both of Wausau; great-grandchildren, Brinnley Hagedorn and Brandon Peterson; special cousins; relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Donald.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2010, at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 3031 Epiphany Lane, Eau Claire, with Pastor Russell Kampfer officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
Memorials can be directed to the family to be disbursed per Lorraine's request.
