Johnny Richard Hennessee Sr., 65, of Crossville, passed away Sept. 24, 2010. Funeral services were held Sept. 27 from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, with Pastor Warren Burns officiating. Burial was in Turner Cemetery.

Mr. Hennessee was born May 5, 1945, in Crossville, the son of James Savage Hennessee Sr. and Ethel Marie Turner Hennessee.

He was a manager of a warehouse and enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and watching the UT Vols play ball.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Greta Hayes Hennessee; sons, Rick Hayes and wife Kay, Johnny Hennessee Jr. and wife Lori and Jimmie Thompson; daughter, Rhonda Gail Boles and husband Bobby; grandchildren, Kayla and Brittany Thompson, Megan Hayes and J.D. Hennessee; brothers, James Savage Hennessee Jr. and Kenneth Hennessee; and sisters, Lorraine Carson and husband JC and Irene Campbell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Hennessee, Fred Hennessee, Clarence Hennessee and Eugene Hennessee; and sister, Geraldine Prater.

Pallbearers were Ted Hennessee, Roger Smith, Kevin Sutton, Christopher Pelfrey, Dale Hennessee, Allen Sutton and Jerry Thompson.

Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
