MARY A FLETCHER
OLDTOWN ‹ Mary A. Fletcher, 73, of Oldtown, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, June 30, 1999, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 10, 1925, in the Fintstone area, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Rettie Mae (Dolly) Hennen.
Mrs. Fletcher was retired from Memorial Hospital after 27 years of service. In addition to working at Memorial Hospital, she worked, along with her husband, on the family farm in Oldtown. She was devoted to the Bethel Assembly of God Church. She also enjoyed gardening and canning, and she was an excellent cook and baker.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years, John H. Fletcher; one son, George William Fletcher and wife, Paulette, Cumberland; one daughter, Laura Mae Twigg and husband, Earl, Oldtown; three granddaughters, Crystal D. Davis, Short Gap, W.Va., Samantha M. Twigg, Oldtown, Sara E. Twigg, Oldtown; one great-granddaughter, Alyssa R. Davis; one brother, Estel J. Hennen, Capital Heights; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. There will be visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
Services will be conducted at Bethel Assembly of God Church, Oldtown, on Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Wilson and the Rev. Joseph DiNicola officiating.
Interment will be in Glendale Cemetery, Flintstone.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Bennett, Harold Lavin, Hank Maier, Gary Appel, William "Butch" Bosley and Paul B. Krogel. Honorary pallbearers will be Leo Helmstetter, Steven Hall, John Hall and Louis Maier.
