ELEANOR BENNETT
Adrian-Eleanor A. Bennett, 67, of Gady Road, Adrian, died Wednesday, March 14, 1990, at Bayonette Point Hospital in Hudson, Florida, where she resided during the winter months.
She was born February 08, 1923 in Cheyenne County, Nebraska to John and Emma Dicke Henkel. She was married to Vernon J. Bennett on September 25, 1943 in Denver, Colorado.
Mrs. Bennett has been a resident of the Adrian area for the past 47 years and was employed with the Inland Fisher Body Plant until 1973. She was a member of Grace English Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tecumseh where she taught Sunday School and was a choir member, a member of the Ladies' Aid Society, and the Pioneers.
She is survived by her husband; one son, Vernon (Bud) Bennett of Adrian; two daughters Mrs. Donald (Ann) Wolff of Ocala, Florida, and Mrs. Robert (Sharon) Shadewald of Adrian; three brothers, Elvin Henkel, Elmer Henkel and Everett Henkel, all of Hudson, Florida; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Darline Clark and Lucille Brunswick; and two brothers, Donald Henkel and Albert Henkel.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 P.M. from Grace English Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tecumseh with Rev. David Nautling officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh. Friends may call at the Anderson Funeral Home in Adrian today from 7-9 PM and Tuesday From 2-4 PM and 7-9PM.
