Darwin "Bud" Lee Hendry, 72, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare-North Campus. He had been in poor health for two years. He was born Nov. 13, 1930, in Villisca, Iowa. On Feb. 17, 1952, he was married to the former Joan B. Witt, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Hendry was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was retired from the Missouri Department of Conservation, where he was a mechanic. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are four daughters, Sandy Emerson of Poplar Bluff, Donna Yevelson of St. Louis, Sarah Coles of St. Peters and Penny Glass of Ellsinore; a brother, Richard Hendry of Wappapello; two sisters, Doris Hickey of Eldon and Betty Roark of Iberia; and three grandchildren.

A private family memorial service was held. Arrangements were by Cotrell Funeral Service.
