Louise Cotton, age 91, of Russellville, the widow of Frank Cotton, died Monday, September 29, 2008 in Wellston, Oklahoma. A daughter of the late Robert and Ethel Foster Hendrix, she was born November 6, 1916 in Russellville. She was a member of the Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, where she had faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher and the Church Mother for many years. In addition to her parents and her husband, she outlived all of her siblings, six boys and five girls. She was also preceded in death by six of her children: James Henry Cotten, Ethel Mae McClinton, Nellie Mae Smith, Frank Cotton Jr., Mattie Faye Nichols and an infant son.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law: Frank Allen and Ruth Cotton of Wellston, Oklahoma; William Joe and Cynthia Cotton of Willow, California; and Ezell and Delores Cotton of Russellville; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Florence L. Jackson of Los Angeles, California; Costella and Jeffery Cross of Garland, Texas; and Beverly S. and Larry Cooper, also of Garland; twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
