Orville B. Hendrickson
Orville Bolton Hendrickson, 79, 961 Washington street, died Monday at 6:30 p. m. at his home of causes incident to age. He was the first federal Indian agent in the Uintah basin.
Mr. Hendrickson was born in Millcreek, Salt Lake county, May 7, 1862, a son of Orville and Emma Bolton Hendrickson.
He had lived in Salt Lake valley all his life, except for his years in the Indian service.
His wife, Mrs. Matilda Corless Hendrickson, died two years ago.
Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Vivian Newsome, Mrs. Ethel Larson, Mrs. Meriam Crowford, Mrs. Hattie Paxman, Mrs. Leone Brown and Mrs. Mildred Brandley, all of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Pearl King of Brigham City; a son, Albert Hendrickson of Salt Lake City; four brothers, Charles L. Hendrickson, Oliver D. Hendrickson, Albert E. Hendrickson and Leonidas Hendrickson, all of Salt Lake City; four sisters, Mrs. Vivian Tompson of Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. Stella Hein of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Lillian Robinson of Los Angeles, Cal., and Mrs. Jenevia Carbon of St. Joseph, Mo.; 26 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
