Genita Charlene Fogle went peacefully in her sleep and into the arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ on June 8, 2014. She was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on May 3, 1929 to Joseph and Minnie Hendricks. She grew up in Gracemont, Oklahoma. Genita retired from TG&Y in 1988 after 24 years. She and my Daddy had many good times traveling and camping in their travel trailer with their many friends.
Genita was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister, 1 son, 1 daughter, and most recently her beloved husband of 64 years. You're in heaven with Daddy now. Take care of each other. Carolyn and I will be ok. We'll take care of each other.
Mama is survived by 2 daughters Carolyn Meiner and Pat Kelley; 2 grandsons, Brad Kelley and Brent Burgess and their families; 1 granddaughter Katrina Myers and her family; and 7 great grandchildren; also by 2 sisters, Peggy Chester of Minco, Ok and Kathleen Blue of Fresno, CA; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
It's hard to understand why God chose to take you home so soon after Daddy, but we have to trust that only He knows why. Go in peace precious Mother. We're going to miss you so much!
Services will be held in the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 2:00 with Interment to follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens. Friends and family will be gathering at Resthaven's Family Center from 12:00 to 2:00 for refreshments, with ceremony to follow. Please join us in celebrating our Mother's Life.
