Marlene Kay Berthoud, 56, of Grand Ledge, Mich., formerly of Moline, died Sunday, June 23, 2002, in Grand Ledge.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Esterdahl Mortuary, 6601 38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Marlene was born April 6, 1946, in Rock Island, daughter of John and Melvadine Freeze Hendricks. She married Robert Berthoud in 1973 in Moline.
Marlene was employed as a real estate company officer manager and an outside contractor at GM engineering department. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, East Moline.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

The Rev. James Chase officiated at the 7 p.m. nuptial rites.
Parents of the couple are Mrs. Jim DeVott, Great Barrington, Mass., and John Hendrick, 1436 39th St., Rock Island, and Mr. and Mrs. John Schneider of South Egremont.
The bride formerly resided with Mr. and Mrs. William Rieck, Rock island, an uncle and aunt.
Miss Sharon Kay Freeze, Rock Island, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor.
Similarly attired were the bridesmaids, Miss Rosemary Schneider, South Egremont, sister of the bridegroom; Miss Roxanne DeVoss, Great Barrington, sister of the bride, and Miss Nancy Freese, Pittsfield, Mass., cousin of the bride.
John Hendrick, Great Barrington, brother of the bride, served as best man and John Kingdom, South Egremont was groomsman.
The couple is residing in South Egremont following a wedding trip to Florida.
Mrs. Schneider attended Rock Island High School and was graduated from Mount Everett Regional School at Sheffield, Mass. She is employed at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Mr. Schneider, a graduate of Mount Everett School, served five years in the Marine Corps and is now employed by Jones Trucking Co. Great Barrington.
