Obituary
Funeral services for Albert Oren Hendricks, a Spanish-American War veteran, will be conducted at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the Vandivier Funeral Home, 951 North Main Street. Burial will take place in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home at anytime and are invited to attend the rites.
Death came to Mr. Hendricks at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Maynard Richardson, 201 West King Street, Monday afternoon at 1:15 o'clock. He had been in failing health for some time.
-Native of County-
The son of the late Thomas and Emeline Hougham Hendricks, Mr. Hendricks was born Jan. 6, 1873, in Johnson County. He was reared here and in 1902 moved to Marion County. Mr. Hendricks had attended the Hendricks School in Needham Township.
He and Lenora Hall were married in Louisville, Ky., in October 1902, and four children were born to them. Two children, a son, Hall Hendricks, died Jan. 4, 1955, and a daughter, Margaret, died in infancy. Death came to Mrs. Hendricks on Feb. 3, 1913.
Two daughters, Mrs. Richardson and Mrs. Katherin Sorenson, both of Franklin, survive, with nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
