It should be noted that this couple actually spelled their last name with an "s"
at the end: HENDRICKS
I do not know why the monument was engraved as "Hendrick". The death
certificate for George Howard Hendricks (#1370 / Boone County) reflects his name
as "Hendricks". Effie's name, however, is recorded as "Effa May Hendrick" in
the records of Patrick County, VA.
