BUTLER, GA – Mary Hendley Burnett, 87, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery, Macon, Georgia. The family will greet friends from 10:00 until service time at the funeral home. Rev. Eric Mathison will officiate.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church, 702 Elizabeth Street, Waycross, 31501 or Butler United Methodist Church, 300 East Main Street, Butler, 31006 or Heart of Georgia Hospice, 1120 Morningside Drive, Perry, 31069.

Mrs. Burnett was born in Macon and had lived in Middle Georgia for most of her life. She was a retired self-employed florist and homemaker. Mrs. Burnett was a member of First Baptist Church of Waycross. She was the daughter of the late Katie Lee Hunter Hendley and Joseph Calvin Hendley.

Mrs. Burnett is survived by husband, Charles L. Burnett of Butler; children, Joe (Linda) Burnett of Warner Robins, Lisa (David) Reddish of Butler; grandchildren, Jody (Emily) Burnett, Beth (Rick) Bevels, Rachael (Andrew) Daugherty, Tee (Katie) Reddish; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Jolee Dorsey of Albany; several nieces and nephews.

Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
