Louise Henderson Adams was born October 3rd, 1930 in Panguitch, Utah to Reed and Nita Henderson. She was the third of five children, but sadly was the only one to reach maturity, as the others died in infancy. Her childhood was spent in Panguitch where she enjoyed going to school and spending time with her friends. She also enjoyed spending her summers at the fish hatchery where her father worked.
Louise graduated from Garfield High School in 1948, and received a scholarship to attend Branch Agricultural College in Cedar City. She played for the women's volleyball team and enjoyed spending time with her sorority sisters. After graduating in 1950, she enrolled at Utah State College in Logan, but only attended a short time before deciding to return to Panguitch and take a job with Mountain States Telephone Company in 1951.
She married Nathan Calvin Adams on December 25th, 1953 and moved with him to Henderson, Nevada. However, their marriage didn't work out, and she moved back to Panguitch in September of 1954 to be with her parents and return to work for the Telephone Company. She gave birth to her son Ronald Reed Adams in March of 1955. The family then moved to Cedar City in February of 1957, where she continued working for the phone company until she retired in 1986. Her greatest joys were spending as much time as possible with her family; her parents, her son, and four grandchildren. Louise was an active member of the LDS church and held several callings throughout her life. She was an amazing cook, loved to bake, and was well known by family and friends for her amazing fudge.
She was a very kind, loving, sweet, and compassionate woman. Despite the many hardships in her life, she always saw things in a positive light, and always had a smile on her face. She passed away July 12th, 2001 in Cedar City, and was laid to rest next to her parents in the Panguitch Utah cemetery.
