James Russell Hendrickson, 75, died October 15, 2013, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born October 2, 1938, in Little River, to Lemuel Russell and Theresa Ruth Bates Hendrickson. He worked for Ewing Construction and twelve years with Reno County landfill, but was a farmer and mechanic at heart. On March 17, 1988, James married Peggy Jeanne Brace. She survives.

Other survivors include: six children, three step-children; twelve grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren with three on the way; three sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Lee and Donald Hendrickson, sister, Margie Stiggins and granddaughter, Stacy Dale.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2013 in Memorial Park Cemetery, with Pastors Luke Helmuth and Dale Richman presiding. Friends may call today thru Sunday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
