SPRINGFIELD - The funeral will be held Dec. 24 for Arlene May Beyer of Springfield, who died Dec. 21 of age-related causes. She was 79. Beyer was born Sept. 3, 1924, in Osmond, NE, to Leslie and Minnie Bahr Henderson. She married Louis Beyer in Pierce, NE, on Sept. 9, 1943. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Springfield and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and playing bingo at Willamalane Adult Activity Center in Springfield. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Douglas of Stoughton, WI, and Lee of Springfield; a daughter, Shelly Nobert of Drain; a sister, Delores Reed of Osmond; eight grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren. Burial, Springfield Memorial Gardens. She was the daughter of Leslie and Minnie (Bahr) Henderson. "She attended school in Osmond, Norfolk and Pierce. She graduated from Pierce High School in 1942. She married Louis Beyer on Sept. 9, 1943, at the Pierce Zion Lutheran parsonage and the couple made their home in various places while he served in the U.S. Navy." She was survived by her husband, 2 sons and their wives, 1 daughter and her husband, 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, and a sister. She was preceded in death by a sister.
