Henry was the son of Robert and Betty (Terry) Henderson. He married (1) Mary Belle Stephens and they were the parents of two sons: Robert, and Henry. He later married (2) Madge V. McMasters.

Funeral for Henry Artie Henderson, 76, of 714 Dillard St., who died Saturday, will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Street Funeral Home. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park.
Surviving are wife, Mrs. Madge Lee Henderson; sons, Robert Henderson of Greensboro, Henry Henderson of Kirkman Air Force Base, N.M.; stepson, Charles Lee of Greensboro; daughter, Mrs. Mary Ann Ganiere of California; brothers, James, Truitt, Pete and Dudley Henderson of Roxboro; sisters, Mrs. Pauline White of Roxboro, Mrs. Julia Comer of Leasburg, Mrs. Virginia Trianpis of Charlottesville, Va., Mrs. Ruth Trotter of McLean, Va., 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
