Gladys B. Blackburn, 84, Monticello, died at 11:17 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at Monticello Healthcare Center, Monticello.
She was born in Spencer on Dec. 26, 1921, to Roy and Faye (Edwards) Hendershot. She married Lowell E. Blackburn in Lafayette on Dec. 17, 1947. He died Oct. 29, 2003.
Survivors include daughter, Colleen Weida, Monticello; son, Jay (Debra) Blackburn, Lafayette; granddaughters, Michelle Kidd, and Jennifer Blackburn, both of Lafayette; grandsons, Colin and Sam Blackburn, both of Lafayette; one great-grandson; sisters, Mary Jane (Robert) Livingston, Spencer, and Elsie Mae Bosvert, Ocala, Fla.; brothers, Paul (Lola) Hendershot, West Lafayette, Robert (Sharon) Hendershot, Lafayette, and Herschel H. Hendershot, Gosport.
An infant daughter, Deborah Blackburn, is deceased.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home, Monticello. Services will follow at 1 p.m., at the funeral home with the Rev. Chris Dodson officiating. Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery, Delphi.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
