Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Hemphill, 83, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 19, 2009 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Rev. Lindle Stewart will officiate. Interment to follow at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens, 8729 Cypress St. West Monroe, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Hemphill was born January 4, 1926 in Wesson, MS and passed away May 17, 2009 in West Monroe, LA. She was a member of Eastern Star and Woodlawn Methodist Church. Mrs. Hemphill devoted her life to her family and was a loving mother and grandmother and she will be remembered as being a true friend.
She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Scott Hemphill.
Mrs. Hemphill is survived by her five children: Lamar Hemphill and wife Diane, Janet Hemphill McCraw and husband Jim, Pam Hemphill McCready and husband Kenny, Randy L.H. Hemphill and Ginger Kay Hemphill; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Shawnesy Thompson, Shannon Frith, Brad Frith, Chad Harrington, Seth Thompson and Joel McCready.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
