Dixie married Waymond Hembree in 1871, North Carolina. See Waymond's site for info on children.

From the Greenfield Vedette, February 7, 1919 -- Mrs. Belle D Spyres, wife of the late Eleazar Spyres, was born in Wakefield, North Carolina, January 6, 1846, and died in Kansas City, Missouri January 26, 1918, aged 72 years and 20 days. She was the youngest daughter of Washington and Elizabeth Browne. At the age of 25 years she was married to Waymond N. Hembree who died June 22, 1892. To this union four children were born: John N.L. Hembree and Mrs. Dora E Clopton of Kansas City; Mrs. Viola Erwin and Mrs. Fanny W. Martin of Dadeville.
Her second marriage was to Dr. Spyres, February 16, 1897, and they lived happily together until May 27, 1914, when deaths call came to the doctor. He went away and she was left a widow for the second time. Since the death of her husband she has made her home with her son John.
Sister Spyres was a member of the Christian Church, having accepted Christ as her personal Savior at the age of sixteen. Her remains were brought back to Dadeville, her old home, where funeral services were held in the Christian Church. Her remains were laid to rest beside those of her first husband at Rice Cemetery. Peace to her memory.
