LaVisa Elizabeth "Vi" Breckon, 81, of Nampa, died Monday, December 5, 1994, in Nampa after a 10-year siege of Alzheimers. Vi was born on August 30, 1913, at Buhl, Idaho to William A. and Mollie Cary Helt. At a young age she moved to the Happy Valley Community near Nampa with her family, where she was reared and educated. She graduated from Nampa High School. After her schooling she moved to Ontario, Oregon. She married C. Blaine Breckon November 1, 1936, at Weiser, Idaho, and they lived in Ontario. Their marriage was later solemnized at the Idaho Falls, Idaho, L.D.S. Temple on February 16, 1950. They moved to Port Orchard, Washington, during WWII, where her husband was employed at the U.S. Navy Yard in Bremerton. In 1945 they came to Nampa where they have since resided. Vi was a member of the Nampa 11th Ward L.D.S. Church. She had been active in various church activities including the Women's Relief Society, Primary Children and was also a Den Mother. She also enjoyed sewing, and was an extremely fine seamstress. She loved her home and her flowers, especially the roses. She enjoyed traveling in the mountains. The Red Fish Lake area and McCall were always a delight for her.

She is survived by her husband, C. Blaine Breckon, Nampa; 1 son and daughter-in-law, David and Karen Breckon, Tucson, Arizona; daughter and son-in-law, Merry and Andrew Morales, Gladstone, Missouri; 1 brother, Leon Helt, Caldwell; 2 sisters, Mildred Biggers, Couer d'Alene, Idaho, Neva Floyd, Portland, Oregon; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Bill and Eldred; and 1 sister, Nina.
