Edward William Heller, 67, of 2425 Division Street, died at his residence at 6am Tuesday after a brief illness. The body may be viewed after 7pm Tuesday at the Haudenshield funeral home, 2170 Central Avenue, from where the funeral services will be held at 2:30pm Thursday, with the Rev. Fred Landdeck officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.
Born in Galena, Ill., Aug 14, 1881, he moved to Dubuque with his parents when a small child. He was employed as a cigar maker for 30 years; later was employed at the Northome Furniture Company, and most recently at Dubuque Packing Company. He was a member of the Maccabee lodge and the A.M.C. and B. W. of North America, local 150.
Survivors are two sons, Robert Leo Heller, Columbia, MO., and Harold James Heller, Dubuque; one grandchild, Richard James Heller; one brother, Charles H Heller, East Dubuque, and three sisters, Mrs. Amanda Berkley, Dubuque, Mrs. Viola Behrens, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Wallace Drake, Seattle, Wash.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife on Dec 29, 1944.
