Geneva Allison, age 74, a resident of Hector, AR, died Friday, January 12, 2001 at St. Vincents Infirmary at Little Rock, AR. She was born on February 17, 1926 at Davidson, OK, to the late Rev. Henry A. and Laura Ann Hardester Hefner.

She was Saved at the age of 8 in an old fashioned Arbor Revival at Davidson, Oklahoma and joined the Antioch Southern Baptist Church where she belonged until the family moved to Oklahoma City during WWII, and joined the Trinity Baptist Church.

She married Paul L. Allison on October 15, 1944 at the Hefner home at Oklahoma City, with her father officiating. When her husband came home from the War on December 11, 1945 she moved her church membership to Brookline Southern Baptist Church until she, her husband, and children moved to Hector, Arkansas in 1956, where they began attending Cedar Grove Assembly of God Church, attending until her death. She served as church and Sunday School secretary, pianist and organist. She was a Homemaker/Rancher, PTA President,Homeroom Mother, and worked at St. Mary's Hospital in the food service department, as well as a Devoted Wife and Mother.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Glen Dale Allison. Two Brothers, Owen and Riley Hefner.

Survivors include her husband, Paul L. Allison of Hector; three sons and two daughters in law, Keith and Nita Allison of Boerne, Anthony Wayne Allison of Hector, William D. and Sharron Allison of Hector; five daughters and three sons in law, Paula Diane Allison of Hector, Katheryn Marie and Danny Woo of Scottsville, Barbara Gail and Mike Collin of Dover, Nina Jean and Arlis Jones of Dover, Amy Louise Larson of Hector; 21 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; one brother, Homer A. Hefner of Henrietta; four sisters, Vera Westfall of Houston, Pauline Eubank of Terrell, Emma Miller of Chimes, Nadine Fishel of Wilberton; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 16, 2001 at the Hector First Assembly of God Church officiated by Rev. Chuck Preston, and assisted by Rev. Bob Caldwell. Burial will be at the Rock Springs Cemetery at Hector, AR under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8:00 PM Monday at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Cedar Grove Assembly of God Church at Hector, AR.
