LAWN- Exie Haynes, 95, of Mesquite and formerly of Lawn, died Monday in a Dallas hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Lawn Church of Christ with Richard Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Dewey Cemetery, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home of Tuscola.
Mrs. Haynes was born in Henderson County, Tenn., and moved to Lawn in 1909. She attended school in Dewey and worked as a nurses aide at Lawn Nurshing Home. She then was a cook and foster grandparent at Abilene State School She moved to Mesquite in 1996. She was a member of Lawn Church of Christ and was the widow of Lanham Haynes, whom she married ni 1923 in Tokene.
Survivors include two sons, L.G. Haynes of Cowpens, S.C. and James Haynes of Mesquite; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
