Mrs. Jas. Buffington Dies at Wynnewood

Mrs. Donna Dimple Buffington, aged 19 years, wife of James (Sonny) Buffington, passed away in Wynnewood hospital at 12:45 this morning after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held in Davis Saturday, time and place not yet announced. Hutchins funeral home in charge.

Mrs. Buffington, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Hefley of Wynnewood View, was one of 13 children, and was the first to go. Her grandparents on both sides are still living.

She is survived by her husband (in the army but home at present); her parents, brothers, sisters and numerous other relatives.

Services Held For Mrs. Dimple Buffington

Mrs. Dimple Buffington, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hefley, Davis, Okla., passed away Nov. 2nd, 12:45 a.m., at Wynnewood clinic, Wynnewood, Okla.

She was born at Lincoln, Ark., May 14, 1925; was a member of Church of Christ, and a graduate of the 1944 class of Woodland high school.

She was the wife of Pvt. James Buffington of the U. S. army, stationed at Hulen Field, Tex.

Besides the husband, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hefley, 11 brothers and sisters, Howard Hefley, Davis; Robert Hefley; Mrs. Carra Mae Buffington, Davis; Mrs. Dorothy Timmons, Durant, Okla.; Mary, Iva Nell, Delma Ann, R. L., Joe Bill, James and Jerry, all of home.

Flower girls were, Billie Butterly, Nadine Hogue, Springer, Okla.; Dona Divelbiss, Durant; Syble Chambless, Wanda Johnson, June Nolin and Mabel Thompson of Davis.

Pallbearers were, Adolph Hogenson, Bill Lowry, Hub Bingham, Matt Russell, Willie Butterly of Davis, Jay Payne, Kingston, Okla., and Jim Divelbiss, Durant.

Services were held Saturday, Nov. 4, 3 p.m. in the Church of Christ at Davis, with Orvel Johnson, minister of church, in charge of rites.

Burial was in Green Hill cemetery. Hutchins funeral home was in charge.
