Betty May Andrus Fisher, 73, of Tomah, died Sunday, May 23, 2004, at Tomah Memorial Hospital. She was born Feb. 3, 1931, to William and Anna (Nadean) Heffington in Columbus, OH.

She was united in marriage to Robert Andrus. He preceded her in death. She married Kenneth James Fisher on Dec. 30, 1987, at Wheaton, IL. He also preceded her in death.

She worked at Cock Robin as a manager and manager trainer, Zayer as a security guard, and Johnson Controls in customer service and accounting.

She was given a plaque by the Historical Society of the city of Darien, IL, in recognition of her accomplishments.

Betty was a member of Women's Missionaries, the Monroe Seniors Joy Club, and the Aquatic Exercise Group.

She enjoyed needlework, arts and crafts, and music. Betty enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by four daughters, Deborah (Gary) Connell of Tomah, Kathleen (John) Pion of Poway, CA, Cleora Mihalka of Downers Grove, IL, and Marianne Fisher of Maple Valley, WA; two sons, Neil (Delphina) Fisher of El Paso, TX, and Jay (Jackie) Fisher of Posen, MI; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer Connell, Peggy (Nathan) Buehner, Becky Pion, Jake Pion, Patti (Jeff) Liittschwager, Linda Arneson, John (Lynn) Reeves, Carol (Dave) Hakes, Jackie (Andy) Burns, Darren and Randy Fisher; 10 great-grandchildren, Gary and Dustin Buehner, Nicholas Liittschwagner, Carrie, Josh and Amanda Arneson, Kimberly and Dustin Reeves, Curtis Hakes and Parker Burns; a daughter-in-law, Doris (John) Reeves of Holcombe; a sister, Martha Martin of Vale, WV; two brothers, Bill (Norma) Heffington and James (Alice) Heffington; many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert Andrus; and second husband, Kenneth Fisher.

Memorial services will be held Friday, May 28, at 11 a.m. at the Tomah Baptist Church, 1701 Hollister Ave., Tomah. Pastor Ronald J. Tobin will officiate. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Clarendon Hills Cemetery, Good Shepherd Garden, Darien, IL.
