Edelle Axsom, 83, of Road 150W died at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at her home.
Mrs. Axsom was a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal faith.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Dale Goddard officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
Born in Nashville Oct. 30, 1918, Mrs. Axsom was the daughter of William H. and Lena E. Fulks Hedrick. She married Ora Axsom April 23, 1938. He died Sept. 16, 1989.
Survivors include a daughter, Shelba Jean Axsom of Columbus; brothers, Burnell Hedrick of Nashville and Virgil Hedrick of Columbus; and a sister, Pauline Cox of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Belva Hedrick, and a sister, Beatrice Henderson.
