Death of Mrs. Robert S. Bowring

The death of Mrs. Lena Heck Bowring, wife of Mr. Robert S. Bowring, of Chicago, occurred at the home of her sister, Mrs. Arthur Monroe, at Kempton, Ill., Tuesday after a long illness.

The deceased was formerly Miss Helena Heck of this city. She was 57 years of age and was born in Madison and had many friends here who will learn of her death with sincere regret. Besides her husband she is survived by one sister, Mrs. Arthur Monroe, of Kempton, Ill., and two brothers, Conrad and Henry Heck.

The remains, accompanied by the husband and Mr. and Mrs. Monroe and two children, John and Alice, arrived on the train last night and were taken to the home of Mr. Conrad Heck, on Walnut street, where funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock this afternoon by Rev. Arends, pastor of the Lutheran church. The interment was in Springdale cemetery.
