Ms. Anna l. Hebert of Gonzales, Louisiana, died Wednesday, January 29, 2014, in Gonzales. Ms. Hebert was 67 years, 10 months, and 18 days old. She was the daughter of the late Lee Roy and Ola Mae (Maxwell) Alvis. She was a 1969 graduate of Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, Louisiana and one of the co-founders of the Gonzales Committee on Cultural Affairs.

Ms. Hebert was a retired teacher of St. Amant High School, where she was the department head of the History Department. She was name in the Who's Who Among American Teachers 2 times. Besides being a teacher she was a wife/mother/grandmother/sister/friend.

Ms. Hebert was proceeded in death by her parents and her twin sister: Louise (Alvis)Hayes.
She is survived by her beloved husband: John Alvery Richard Hebert Sr; 2 daughters: Elizabeth (Hebert) harris and her husband: John of Gonzales, Louisiana and Meredith Louise Hebert, also of Gonzales; 1 son: John A. R. Hebert Jr., of Gonzales; 1 sister: Laura Lee (Alvis) Mays and her husband: Dr. Max Mays of Lake Jackson, Texas, and Mike Hayes of Buffalo, New York; 1 brother: Max Alvis and his wife: Honey, of Jasper, Texas; 2 grandchildren; other relatives; and many dear friends and former students.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, February 3, 2014, at St. Theresa of Avvila Catholic Church. Rev. Alec Sheldon officiated the celebrate.
Pallbearers were: John A.R. Hebert, Jr., John Harris, Seth Mixson, Jared Mixson, Freddie Williams and Adam Percy.
