The daughter of James & Sarah (Street) Heaton, she married John Alcott on May 8, 1698 in New Haven, Conn.

From Ken Smith: Susannah Heaton was born in New Haven on April 12, 1680. She was a twin, her brother was named Theophilus. Her parents were James Heaton and Sarah Street. Susannah married John Alcott, or Olcott, as it was then spelled, on May 8, 1698 at New Haven. He was the son of Phillip and Elizabeth Mitchell Olcott. They had six children. Susannah died on March 3, 1737 in New Haven and was buried in the churchyard of the Center Church on the Green. In 1813, a new church was built over many of the older graves and a tablet was placed in the vestibule of the church with the names of those burials engraved on it. In 1821, the remaining monuments were moved to the new burial ground. No tombstone remains for Susanna.
