Margaret Virginia Heatherly Bishop, 88, widow of Furman Bishop, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Valley Falls Terrace.
Born September 18, 1925 in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Heatherly and Lula Rice Heatherly. She was formerly employed by Raycord Company and Drayton Mills and was a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are a step-daughter, Barbara Seagle and husband Roy of Chesnee; step-daughter-in-law, Diane Bishop of Chesnee; sister, Mattie Morrison of Spartanburg; 4 step-grandcildren and 8 step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a step-son Dean Bishop; sisters, Marie Nix, Carrie Allen, Ruby Miller; brothers, James, Charles, Fred and Furman Heatherly and one step-grandchild Jimmy Bishop.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Springhill Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Larry Fleming officiating.
