Arthur M. Heath
Milan -- Arthur M. Heath, 75, of 17191 Cone Rd., Milan Township, died at 11:45 P.M. Saturday in St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor. He was owner and operator of one of the largest farms in the township.

Friends may call at the residence until 10 A.M. Tuesday when the body will be taken to Stevens and Bush funeral home for services at 2 P.M. The Rev. William M. Hughes of Marble Memorial Methodist Church will officiate and burial will be in Azalia Cemetery.

The son of Nathan and Mary Heath, he was born March 10, 1880, in Wayne County. He married Blanche Davis Oct. 28, 1899, at Azalia. They first lived on a farm near Azalia and moved to their present home 45 years ago. He was a member of Azalia Grange.

Surviving are his wife; three sons, Craig, Earl and Clare, all of Milan; two sisters, Mrs. William McKay and Mrs. Edward J. Ball, Flint; nine-grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Heath, Married 55 years
17791 Cone Rd. also were married in the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Davis, farmers of the south Milan Township community. Mr. Heath, 74, followed his older brother to Monroe County and also worked for a time at the Spinlk farm. He returned to his father's farm for a couple of years, then returned to Monroe County and worked at the William Miller farm.

They started farming on the farm owned by the bride's mother, a widow at that time. Here they farmed for sever years, then purchased a small farm of their own which they sold three years later to buy their present farm of 160 acres. In addition to this farm they have another 160 acres for a total of 320 acres. The youngest son, Clair, who lives nearby, now operates the entire farm in addition to his own acreage.

Travel Is Enjoyed
Mr. and Mrs. Heath, now retired from active farm duties, both like to travel and have made five trips to Florida, one to Washington, D.C., and another through the Northwest as far as the state of Washington.

Yes, the Heath families had a fine time together Sunday observing the combined 113 years of married life of the two couples. For the most part all concerned are in good health. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Heath, each own and drive their own automobiles, while Mr. and Mrs. Bert Heath travel together but for longer distances.
