Charleston - Services for Richard W. Hearnes of Charleston, Route 1, brother of Gov. Warren E. Hearnes, will be conducted Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Home here. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Mr. Hearnes, 54 years old, died Monday at a hospital in Poplar Bluff.
He was an engineer for the Missouri State Highway Department in Sikeston and a veteran of the Army during World War II.
Born in Charleston Nov. 23, 1912, Mr. Hearnes was the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Hearnes. His mother survives.
Mr. Hearnes lived at Kennett for a time when he was employed with the Highway Department there. He moved back to Charleston four years ago.
Other survivors are his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Brown Hearnes; a son, Richard W. Hearnes, Jr.; three brothers, Donald B. Hearnes, Robert E. Hearnes and Gov. Hearnes; a sister, Mrs. H. R. Hequembourg and two grandchildren.
