Everett Hearne of Tyrone and Ralph Gilbert, a companion, were burned to death in an apartment house in Perryton, Tx. Monday night. Both men were sleeping upstairs when the blaze was discovered by parties across the street. The fire department was called and occupants sleeping downstairs were aroused and barely escaped from the building. Eberett, who was past fifty years of age, was well known in Tyrone, habing lived there a number of years. He had been working for several months in Perryton where the tragedy occurred. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at Adams BAptist Church and burial was in Happy Flat Cemetery southeast of Tyrone.
