(DECATUR, Ga.) Mae Heard Gay, 75, of Decatur, Ga., died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, at Dekalb Medical Center, Decatur.
Services were Monday, Oct. 10, at 1 p.m. at Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Roanoke, with the Revs. Jeffery Rosser, C. H. Owens,Robert L. Heflin and William Phillips officiating. Burial was in the Peace and Goodwill Baptist
Church Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Barry Heard of Decatur and Ronnie Heard of Lawrenceville, Ga.; a daughter, Allison Heard of Decatur; three sisters, Annie Heard and Mable Holley of Roanoke and Sara Clark of Stanford, Conn.; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Gay; and seven brothers, B.J. Heard, Richard Heard, Adam Heard, Paul Heard, Will Heard, David Heard and J.B. Heard.
