On June 6, 1937, Eleanor married Salvatore Joseph Andruzzi in The Sacred Heart R.C. Church on Adelphi Street, Brooklyn. They had two sons, Thomas and Robert, and a daughter Catherine.
About 1940, they purchased a house in Springfield Gardens, Queens, New York and lived there until they bought a house in Plainview, Nassau County, New York.
