Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Orlena Chapman who died in a local hospital at 1:25 o'clock Saturday afternoon will ber held at 3 o'clock this afternoon at the Central Christian Church. Mrs. Chapman was a resident of the Vansicle community and had been in ill health for several months.
Rev. James L. Sandlin will officiate at the service and interment will be in Forest Park.
Pallbearers will be Clinton Steen, W.T. Hunt, R.Q. Mills, Robert Pinegar, Tommie Miller and Walter Langford.
Arrangements are being made by Gray-Ballard-Sorrells Funeral Home. The body will rest at the funeral home until shortly before the hour for the service.
A native of Hunt County, Mrs. Chapman was born in the Vansickle community and was the daughter of George C. Head and Maude Alice Pearce Hed (sic). She was a member of the Central Christian Church in this city and the Order of Eastern Star at Caddo Mills.
In 1905 she was married to Charles Chapman and he preceded her in death January 21, 1906. One child died in infancy.
Surviving are three brothers, Chester Head, Jerry Head and Ruell Head of Greenville, five sisters, Mrs. Carrie Wall, Post, Texas; Mrs. Ethel Wall, and Mrs. Opal Mitchell, Greenville; Mrs. Jessie Jeffrey, Abernathy, Texas and Mrs. Jane Gray, Dallas, and other relatives.
