Canaan, Conn.-Florence Casey, 93, a
former longtime Amenia and Dover
Plains resident, died Feb.12,1997 at
the Greer Health and Rehabilitation
Center in Canaan, Conn.
She was a housekeeper in Towners and
Patterson.
Born in Towners on Sept.26,1903, she
was a daughter of James and Pheobe
Hyatt Head. She married Joseph Casey
in Mount Kisco on Dec.18,1921. He
died Nov.19,1961.
Mrs. Casey is survived by a daughter,
Emma Delong of Millerton; 11 grand-
children and 6 great grandchildren.
Two daughters, Corolyn Pease and
Bessie Casey; two sons, Harvey and
Joseph Casey, Jr. and three sisters,
Carolyn Wright, Gladys Booth and
Hester Miller, died previously.
Burial was at St. Charles Cemetery,
Dover Plains.
