Born December 3, 1920, at Cove Gap, PA, she was a daughter of the late Percy A. and Helen Suders Hays.
Mrs. Creager had worked as a seamstress at various area clothing factories.
She was a longtime member of First Church of God of Mercersburg. Her personal interests included cooking and sewing.
Surviving are her husband, Clarence D. Creager, whom she married November 9, 1940. Two daughters, Patricia C. Zitzman of Chambersburg and Nancy C. & her husband Ron Brant of Mercersburg. Three grandchildren, Douglas Zitzman, Anita Slemp, and Alicia Kinton. Also surviving are six great grandchildren and the following siblings: Virginia Deshong and Ruth Williams both of Mercersburg, Gloria Hawk of Chambersburg, John Hays of Winter Park, Florida, Percy W. "Bill" Hays of Ft. Loudon, and Reverend James Hays of Palmyra, PA. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Delores Jean Creager and a sister, Marian Shindledecker.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday July 2nd at First Church of God with Pastor Rick Egolf officiating. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
Viewing 6 to 8 PM Sunday at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg, and one hour prior to the services Monday at the church.
