Dorothy Fryburger Haynes, 85, of Willow Valley Lakes Manor, passed away after a brief illness at Hospice of Lancaster County, Saturday, September 11, 2010, leaving behind her loving family. She was the wife of Bernard J. Haynes with whom she would have celebrated their 64th anniversary in October. In addition to her husband Dorothy is survived by her two daughters Susan Hirsch, of Dayton, Ohio, and Cynthia DiSavino, wife of David, Lancaster, PA and two granddaughters Jennifer Hirsch, of Chicago, IL, and Katherine DiSavino, of New York City, NY.

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was a proud graduate of Withrow High School and attended Miami University in Ohio where she was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. Her special loves were music and art, but most of all people.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 24, 2010, at The Groffs Family Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 528 W. Orange St. (at the corner of Pine and Orange streets), Lancaster, with Pastor Richard Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dorothy's name to Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Drive, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17608-4125. Interment will be at a later date in Rest Haven Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio.
