Funeral Services for Margaret L. Cobb have been scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Hayhurst Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Rev. David Hayes will officiate. Burial will follow at Park Grove Cemetery in Broken Arrow under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home.
Margaret L. Cobb was born April 16, 1924 in Alsuma, Oklahoma the daughter of Abe and Eva (Sheram) Hayes. Margaret died Saturday, February 26, 2011 at her home in Broken Arrow. She was 86 years of age.
The former Miss Margaret Hayes was a 1942 graduate of Broken Arrow High School and Tulsa Business College. She married Henry Alfred Cobb on February 17, 1946 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Henry preceded her in death on December 12, 2007. Margaret was always very political, during the war she worked at the shipyards in Berkley, California and in Tennessee as a secretary where the atomic bomb was made. She enjoyed gardening, farming, milking cows and was a 4-H Club supporter. She attended Broken Arrow Assembly and Freewill Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Hope Hospice, 8291 N.
