DORIS C. BROWN, age 85, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center due to heart failure.
Doris was born on December 13, 1925 to David Dewey & Louise (Haddock) Hayes. Doris was born and lived in the Mulberry area all of her life. Doris operated a children's day care center in her home and cared for many children over the years. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Mulberry, Fl.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jesse Brown, daughter SuDonn Tyner and sister Mary Norton. She is survived by her son Joel D. Brown, brother David Spivey, grandchildren Katie, Sarah, & Micah, and life long dear friend Bill Wilkerson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2011 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Seigler Funeral Home- Chapel. Graveside service will be held on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Willow Oak Cemetery. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Jim Hagan.
