Anna Heller, 87 Dies Thursday
Funeral services were held Sunday, Mar. 4, for Mrs. Anna Heller, age 87, at the Warne Funeral Home in Hooper. Mrs. Heller passed away at Arbor Manor in Fremont Thursday evening following an illness of about five years duration.
The daughter of John and Maria Haye, she was born in rural Winslow on March 12, 1891, and had lived in the Hooper and Scribner areas until 1944 when she moved to Seal Beach, Calif. She lived there until moving to Arbor Manor in 1974. Mrs. Heller graduated from Fremont Normal College and was a member of the Lutheran Church.
On Feb. 12, 1913, she was united in marriage to William E. Heller at Zion Lutheran Church in Hooper. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1934. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter in infancy, two brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Heller is survived by one son, Raymond, of Tarzana, Calif., two daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Maria) Paul, Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Leonard (Alice) Havekost of Hooper; nine grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. William (Emma) Paasch of Scribner and Mrs. Albert (Christine) Otteman of Fremont. Pastor John Erlandson officiated at the funeral services.
